RICH’S SHARES THE LOVE THIS NELSON MANDELA DAY 2022
As part of the Rich Promise, we aim to better our communities by devoting our time and talent where we live and work. This Mandela Day, we put our promise into action by inviting our Associates to participate in a Teddy Bear Run at the Rosettenville Baby Home in Johannesburg.
Rosettenville Baby Home is a community-based safe haven for babies and children who are either abandoned, neglected or born from a crisis pregnancy. This sanctuary provides a place of safety for little ones until a permanent, loving home can be found for them, or until they can be reunited with their families. The Home is reliant on community involvement for donations, funding, and volunteers to assist with providing love, care and time to these children in need. Currently there are 10 children aged 6 months to 4 years within their care.
In addition to donating old and new soft toys, we also put together a team of 15 volunteers who visited the home on Mandela Day, applying their creative and DIY skills to fix and brighten up their baby cots with a fresh coat of paint and some colourful artwork.
Giving back to our communities is one of our greatest passions, and we are committed to contributing our skills and resources to improve the lives of those around us – this Mandela Day and every day after.
